Our 2016 with No.11 Cavendish Square

Back in January Dish had the privilege of announcing that we would be working as sole caterer for the stunning central London venue and home of the King's Fund, No.11 Cavendish Square. After a wonderful first year working with the team at the venue, we’re looking back at our 2016 with No.11.

 

Firstly we had to create a menu to suits the needs of the variety of events that take place at the venue, which include everything from exhibitions and conferences to Christmas parties and weddings! Canapes we introduced to the menu included rare roast beef Yorkshire pudding with creamed horseradish and caramelized red onion, as well as lemon thyme whipped brie, roasted cep mushrooms, beetroot relish and croissant crostini. Interesting formal dining options included taleggio cheese, walnut and spinach strudel, and also French trimmed breast of guinea fowl with borlotti bean and chorizo. From looking after catering for their public café The Green House to working on intimate weddings in the Orangery, it’s always fun to work on such a diverse range of events. 

 

This year has seen some wonderful renovations at the historic townhouse. The Maxwell Room received an AV upgrade and complete aesthetic transformation, making it a lighter and airy space which is ideal for both corporate and private functions. With the addition of pampas grass, lavender, high tables and a magnificent living wall, the Courtyard was also given a hefty refurbishment. This outdoor space is now a truly unique breath of fresh air and tranquillity amidst the bustle of one of London’s busiest locations. 

 

Early in the 2016 No.11’s Commercial Director, Jonathan Morris, was made Vice Chair on the MIA Council. The authority plays an incredibly important role in the events industry and it’s a testament to the service and standards held at No.11 that Jonathan has deservedly been elected this senior position in the organisation!

 

As the year progressed it was of course time to get ready for Christmas party season. This year No.11 offered two unique packages;  Norwegian Christmas in the intimate Green House, and a Venetian Masquerade Ball in the Burdett Suite and Orangery. With wonderful client feedback, both packages were a roaring success and the creative team have already decided on the themes for next year where guests will be able to fully immerse themselves in…. Dickensian England or Narnia!
