Meet our New Head of Sales

In October, Dish were delighted to welcome a new member to our growing team. Francesca Montaut has been appointed as our Head of Sales, and is responsible for overseeing day to day sales operations, maintaining and building relationships with clients and venues, and actively seeking new business opportunities with London’s leading venues.

With her degree in Event Management (1st BA Hons) at the University of Greenwich, Francesca has an extensive background in Events which shows through her passion and knowledge of the industry. While at University, she worked for Jetset Sports on the 2012 Olympic Games, liaising with event agencies on large, high profile gala dinners and events.

Shortly after graduation, Francesca landed a role as Sales and Events Coordinator at the magnificent East Wintergarden near Canary Wharf. After nearly two years developing her sales skillset she moved on to one of London’s most high profile caterers as a Sales and Events Executive, looking after their entire portfolio of venues.

Francesca quickly moved through the ranks to become Senior Sales and Events Planner, a role which saw her manage a team as well as look after venue relationships and proactive sales.

Francesca’s fantastic performance and great reputation caught the attention of the team here at Dish, and we are thrilled that she chose to join us in October! Here she explains more about her events experience and plans for the future here at Dish…

What are you excited about putting into action as Head of Sales at Dish?

Pushing the company’s reputation and driving us to become London’s greatest event caterers!

Driving the sales team and growing the company’s sales performance for 2018

Courting plans, spending time nurturing our amazing venues and developing fun and exciting relationships with new clients and venues

Redesigning and looking closely into the company’s brand identity and potentially giving it a facelift in 2018…

What do you love most about working in Events sales?

I love that every day is different - one day I could be in the office designing Christmas hampers and collateral and the next I could be taking clients around a Unique Venue in London. Some days I’m fortunate enough to work across a number of UVL sites!

I really enjoy the excitement and journey from pitching for business through to seeing the event come to life as imagined, as well as building/nurturing relationships with clients.

Most importantly, I love the people! The events industry is very fast paced, and can be highly stressful but it is without a doubt extremely enjoyable; and all of our venue teams, suppliers and clients all make the journey of planning events that much more fun and memorable.

Do you specialise in a particular type of event?

I love planning all events – but I would say weddings are my speciality. Over my years in the industry I have planned and delivered some amazing weddings, from high-profile Hampton Court Palace receptions with all the finest additions to much smaller intimate private home weddings. They all allow me to share my professional expertise as well as my own style and flair.
