Meet the Newest Member of the Operations Team

We are delighted to have yet another new member of the team onsite here at Dish, our new Events Operations Manager, Chanel Frampton.

Chanel boasts a hugely impressive background from a variety of areas within events and hospitality. As well as having a BA Hons in History, Chanel is a Personal License holder, qualified WSET (Wines and Spirits Education Trust) level 2 & 3, and fully trained Sommelier. We asked her to tell you all a little more about her interesting professional background…

What kind of event industry roles have you held before your time at Dish?

Whilst at Uni I would temp at Madame Tussauds in their Finance department. Upon graduating I was offered a permanent position as a Sales ledger clerk. Hospitality was a much stronger calling than accounts and in December 2010 I started working at The London Eye as a Hospitality Coordinator. Being a go-to for all things River related I was promoted to River and Pier Operations Manager and Duty Manager for the site. There I worked on the development of The Barracuda to a venue, with the help of Paolo and Beth here at Dish. In September 2013 I moved to Singapore. I took on the Role of acting Ops Manager and the Duty Manager of Madame Tussauds Singapore but once again hospitality called and I changed paths into restaurants. I have been a restaurant manager for 3 start up restaurants, most recently Food by John Lawson in Leigh on Sea, Essex.

What are you excited about working on at Dish which is unlike work you have been involved in before?
The venues Dish get to work at are extraordinary, unique and world-renowned.  It gives a wonderful opportunity to be creative and give a sensational experience to our clients and guests alike. I also get a little too excited to go to the Royal Historic Palaces!

What do you enjoy most about working in Events Operations?
You have to constantly be on the ball and work with strategy and experience but with creativity and common sense in equal measure. I love working hard to plan and then see the execution of an event before your eyes. It is a very special thing to be able to give an experience that brings people together and positively influence their day.

Do you specialise in a particular type of event?
As I have a huge passion for wine, I think I would really be able to enhance an event centred around that with my knowledge.

We’re thrilled to have Chanel on board here at Dish. With her eclectic industry experience and wonderfully approachable disposition she is a fantastic fit with the growing team!
