Hammersmith’s legendary live venue the Eventim Apollo – renowned for hosting global superstars including David Bowie, Kate Bush and The Rolling Stones, and staging sell-out runs from comedians Michael McIntyre and Billy Connolly – unveiled its space for premium corporate entertaining with the help of Food by Dish this September.

The venue’s new development includes an aluminium modular floor produced by Prolyte Group, which can be installed overnight to transform the perfect sloping view for watching gigs into a split level flat floor, ideal for seated events for up to 720 people. Any section of the floor can also be modified to build in bespoke features including fish tanks, fountains, ponds or hills, while the entire stage can be turfed for an inside garden party.

Users of the space can also take advantage of a state-of-the-art lighting system designed by consultant and specialist, James Morse, known most notably for his work in illuminating historical buildings and preserving their heritage. James is also a multi-award winner, having received accolades from the likes of the Lighting Industry Federation of Great Britain and RIBA. For Eventim Apollo, James has created a colourwash LED lighting that can adapt to complement the ambience of any show or event.

Heiko Kacimi-Alaoui, Deputy General Manager at Eventim Apollo said: “Watching the venue transform so radically after years of underinvestment has been an incredible journey, and we already have further building upgrade plans in the pipeline. While music and comedy remain an integral part of the venue’s history of live performance, I’m excited to see how the corporate side of the business grows.”

Hannah Flood, Sales and Marketing Director at Food by Dish added: “We were delighted to be added to the list of accredited caterers at the Eventim Apollo. It is exciting to help the venue with the launch of its event space, and we’ll continue to develop our event offer at the venue, while underlining both our and Eventim Apollo’s expectations for high-quality service catering.”
