A Few Facts About Dish's Big Festive Week
It should come as no surprise that December is a busy time for London's event industry. Caterers, venues and entertainers work tirelessly to ensure that office Christmas party guests throughout the capital are well fed and watered, but just how much do these revellers consume?
Last week (commencing 5th December) was the biggest Christmas party week of the year, and the team here at Dish were kept well and truly on their feet, managing and catering for a range of events throughout London.
While we often like to talk about the exceptional quality of our events, food and service, here are a few facts and figures about what we got up to last week:
Venues we catered for – 12
Three course dinners prepared – 1268
Amount of guests fed by our bespoke food stations – 3070
Canapés served – 7722
Bowls served – 10225
Mince pies consumed – 1260
People fed - 6088
That's a serious amount of bowl food! We saw events of all shapes and sizes from small seated dinners for 20 floating on the Thames aboard the stunning Edwardian, to a huge party for 840 at the world famous Madame Tussauds.
Food stations were, as always, an immensely popular way to feed the guests of Christmas parties. Over 3,000 people enjoyed the creativity of the food station concept as it offers a flexible way to mingle while having a choice of what and when to eat during your event.
Despite the time of year, we managed to create more than 1,268 seated dinners – which is (just) more than the amount of mince pies consumed! Christmas treats that did go down well, however, were our festive cocktails which you can find out more about here...
